The China-Britain Business Council is the leading organisation helping UK companies grow and develop their business in China. Our mission is to help UK companies of all sizes and sectors, whether new entrants or established operations, access the full potential of the fastest growing market in the world. 

Through 60 years of engagement, we have built up exceptional connections with government and business across China. Our Board is made up of senior business people from companies with a strong China interest, and our business advisers all have extensive first-hand experience of doing business in China. 

We deliver a range of practical services, including: advice and consultancy, market research, event management, an overseas market introduction service, trade missions and exhibitions, and setting up rep offices. 

We have 10 UK offices and 13 offices across key locations in China. This in-country network provides invaluable local insight, access, and knowledge. It is also the basis of our Launchpad® and Hotdesk services.  As a partner of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) we deliver its business-to-business services in China.

Whilst use of CBBC's services is open to all British registered companies on a pay-as you-go basis, we are also a membership organisation with some 900 British company and individual members. For companies serious about developing business in China, CBBC membership provides a cost-effective route to ongoing support, networking, and exclusive services. CBBC corporate members also benefit from reciprocal membership of the Beijing based British Chamber of Commerce in China (Britcham), including access to more than 100 events per year in Beijing and a stronger membership network.

In 2010/11 CBBC handled 5330 enquiries; organised and participated in 400 events across the UK and China, including hosting 92 Chinese inward delegations in the UK; delivered 199 OMIS reports and 10 large research projects; increased circulation of CBBC's magazine to 6000 copies per month.

To access the potential of the China market and to develop a sound business strategy we have Practical Services to help you identify and win business as well as set up your operations. Only by setting up a presence in China can companies take full advantage of the Business Opportunities there.  We have a number of services suited to a variety of strategies and appetite for risk, including Hot Desk, Launchpad, and Representative Office. Our Employment Services help advise and source the right employees for you.  

But before you go you might need our Chinese Business Culture Training, recently accredited by the Institute of Export (also ensures your home team are savvy on Chinese culture and how misunderstandings can arise and be overcome). We have Translating & Interpreting Services as well as a Letters of Invitation Service, necessary for securing a Business Visa. Our team also carry out a range of Due Diligence, Market Research & Analysis, Identification of Local Contacts and In Market Activities from meeting arrangements to event organisation.  Whatever your requirement we can help, or know someone who can.

Membership Programme
CBBC Membership helps you raise your profile, get better connected and stay informed on China business issues. Corporate Membership includes Business Support from one-to-one meetings, advice and in-market assistance to access to our network of offices across China and the UK.  We have exclusive Corporate Member Only Services & Events, plus Prioritised Access, invitations and Networking opportunities.  

Reciprocal membership with Britcham in Beijing is available and Corporate Membership allows for up to 4 main member contacts and up to 10 additional company contacts in UK and 10 in China giving you the ability to match your local offices with our local CBBC managers. Directory Listings, Sponsorship Opportunities and an attractive range of Discounts are also available.  An individual membership category is also available providing information and event access.
